Richard Jackson is Senior Vice President of Operations Support at Occidental and President of Oxy Low Carbon Ventures, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary focused on low-carbon technologies and commercial development. In these roles, he leads the Regulatory, Land and Competitor Intelligence corporate functions and oversees low-carbon strategy and business projects for carbon capture, utilization and storage.
With more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Richard has significant expertise in worldwide oil and gas project development, technology and business management. He serves on the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative’s Climate Investment Board, the American Exploration & Production Council Board of Directors, the American Petroleum Institute’s Upstream Committee and on the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Direct Air Capture Council. He is Occidental’s designated representative on the board of directors of Carbon Engineering. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Mr. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering.
